I was born in 1963 and graduated from Bradford University in 1985. During and since that time I have worked in the communications industry for several companies both as a full time employee and as a consultant. A few years ago I founded two companies which have shown steady growth over the last few years.

Cyber Ware Ltd (http://www.cyberware.co.uk) is an Internet service provider based in Peterborough, England. Cyber Ware is a full range service provider specialising in telecommunications consultancy, web site development and hosting.

AFF International (UK) Ltd is a security wholesaler based in Cambridge, England. AFF imports and exports security products to various countries.

In the early years I worked mostly on hardware design and approvals, more recently I have moved towards the software world but have continued to work on hardware design and approvals. I have spent a large amount of time involved in safety, EMC and line approvals in order to obtain the certification required to CE mark equipment.

Specification, performance predictions and analysis of wide area microwave PDH and SDH Networks. Routing and self-healing topologies.
Detailed requirements analysis and network design of DXT based TETRA Network. Audit and monitoring of network during roll out.
Multi-agency requirements analysis, specification of TETRA tender requirements, technical analysis of bids. Full project life cycle.
Specification, integration and testing of ICCS systems with TETRA networks (Frequentis, Simoco/Sepura, Dimetra and Nokia/EADS).
Requirements analysis for large IP telephony network.
Radio Communications infrastructure equipment hardware design and approvals
Radio site power supply design and protection.
Specification and design of radio site power and lightening protection. Problem evaluation near high power (2MW) Medium Wave transmitter.
