The NSVA moved to Oxford for the 26th Van Nationals. The venue was the ground behind the Rover Sports and Social Club in Cowley. There was a little rain on Friday night and a few drops of rain at various times, otherwise the weather was fine.
Just under 100 vans turned up for the event which was about 40 down on the previous year at Billing Aquadrome. The reduction in numbers was probably due to the change of venue.
There was a good party in the Sports and Social club which went on until 1:30 in the morning when the club closed.
The pictures below give an idea of what the weekend was like. All were taken with a Kodak DC210 Plus camera. These have been compressed / trimmed to reduce the file sizes at some cost in quality. Uncompressed pictures are available on request.
All pictures taken in the Sports and Social club using flash.
The pictures below are of one of the vehicles during the Saturday night light show. I tried using flash but you couldn't see the lights. Without flash you cannot see the vehicles. The point of the exercise is to see the lights so I left the flash off.
A selection of the vehicles.
Handing over a £450 cheque to the MS society.
Receiving a top ten award.
