When out-of-band signals are applied at the terminal Mouth Reference Point a range of frequencies will be passed to the terminal Linear PCM reference point. For these signals the following requirements shall apply.
With any sine-wave signal above 4.6KHz and up to 8KHz applied at the Mouth Reference Point the level of any image frequency produced at the terminal Linear PCM reference point shall be below a reference level obtained at 1KHz (-4.7dBPa at the Mouth Reference Point) by at least the amount (in dB) specified in the table below.
| Frequency(Hz) | Limit minimum (dB) |
|---|---|
| 4.6KHz | 30dB |
| 8KHz | 40dB |
| Note 1: The limits at intermediate frequencies lie on straight lines drawn between the given values on a logarithmic(Hz) - linear(dB) scale | |
